about

Hallo, nice to meet you! I am Johannes.

I am a tech-enthusiast and radiologist (M.D.). In time, you will find various resources and content on my projects, research, photography and programming here. I am currently particularly interested in MRI imaging, 3D printing,  Python, Arduino and Raspberry Pi development.

In parallel to my studies, I have been working as a freelance designer and frontend-developer on various projects (among others albertZWEI media GmbH, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurologie, Junge Neurologen). Ever since my school days, I’ve been interested in technology. Back then, I founded a web-community counting more than 20.000 members – joejoe.org – which was dedicated to wallpapers, icons and windows beta operating systems. I enjoy modern design, photography and interactive computer arts, but I also like classical art movements, such as Romanticism, Realism, Constructivism and Postminimalism.

After graduation, I did my civil service at the Institute for Neuroimmunology (LMU), which triggered my interest in medicine. In 2012, I dedicated myself to an experimental doctoral research study in the field of molecular neuroscience. Besides molecular biology, I’m also interested in radiology, immunology and neurology.

I try to incorporate scientific findings into my everyday life and I love learning new things, discovering cultures and meeting people! Next on my travel list are: Singapore and New York. Looking forward to it!
